Winning silly competitions with wool for ten years and counting.

X3 (Ya, ya, I know -- I said I'd never take a picture of me again. Apparently I lied.)

Is it just me... or do most people not read the rules before doing something? oO;

dA Artisian Crafts is having a Plushie Competiton.

2. Can it be fanart plushies?
No.

Half of the current entries *ARE* fanart.

10. Can I submit things I have already submitted into AC prior to the publishing of the contest?
NO. I can't believe I forgot to specify this. Please let this be a NEW entry to AC. Thanks. :)

A few are reposts.

...wtf?

In other news... I've done 30 rows on my olympics piece. Nearly finished with the colour work on the first cuff and I'm already tired of working on it. Mostly because it's a bit warm in here and I need to eat dinner.

Know why chicken coops have 2 doors?

If they had 4 doors they'd be chicken sedans.

Oh I absolutely loved that.

Let's see if I can explain the motions to this little song:

To the tune of TURKEY IN THE STRAW (Remember Steamboat Willie?)

Haaaaaaave yooooooou...
Ever gone a'fishin' on a bright n' sunny day

(After "ever" you clasp your hands together like you're holding a fishing rod and throw it over your shoulder like you're about to cast.) (After "a'fishin'" you cast out.) (On "bright" you have your arms stretched directly above you with your hands first formed into fists and then extend your fingers, like sunbursts.) (Same action on "sunny" only at ten and two.) (Same action on "day" only at nine and three.)

When all the little fishies were a'swimmin' in the bay?

(The whole line has you with your hands pressed flat together, thumb-bits upwards, shimmying your pressed hands back and forth in a fishy motion.)

With your hands in your pockets and your pockets in your pants

(Really big, dramatic movements with arms, now!) (On "hands" you extend your right arm out and swing it around to tap your right back pant's pocket on the first "pockets".) (On the second "pockets" repeat motion with left arm to left pants pocket on "pants".)

And all the little fishies do the hoochie-coochie dance!

(Tuck arms close to you and wiggle back and forth!) (...yes, no more touching of your pants pockets. Not yet.)

Tra-la-la-la-la, tra-la-la-la! Tra-la-la-la-la, tra-la-la-la!

(Clap on the beats!)

With your hands in your pockets and your pockets in your pants
And all the little fishies do the hoochie-coochie dance!

(You know what to do ;D )

This is extremely cute when you've got a lot of younger kids doing it -- they're generally over-excited and get silly with some of the motions. Same with Grey Squirrel and The Banana Song. Sometimes with The Skunk Song, too, but it's basically a story telling song with a silly ending.

Also? It's great exercise! (All of them are, really... Banana song most of all.) If anyone wants me to go over the other songs I know, I will :P

From here -- Ink Blot results )

More later -- Michelle left a note asking me to clean the bathroom... which means she probably has people over tonight. Gah -_-; There's, honestly, nothing to clean. I can sweep the floor and rinse the tub out to make her happy, though, so I'll do that.

I just held a book open with my boobs so I could type something out of the book for someone.

My boobs rock.
