Feb. 26th, 2004 11:20 amSome strange dream I had...
I was still in high school, but -- due to the fact that I had FINISHED highschool, they were making me take the elementary classes over again oO;; There was something to do with the teacher getting highly frustrated because I knew all of the answers...
....mum woke me up (for real) and asked if I had wanted to go to the farm with her and, apparently, I zonked out again...
...and I dreamed I was at some large castle -- a fortress of some sort, I suppose. There was one other person with me. A lady. Dressed in white. I cannot remember her having a nose or not oO;; ...she told me I had to go inside, alone.
The first corridor wasn't so bad, just dark... there were candles floating high above me, but they didn't give off any light... I passed through the corridor and into another room. This room was really bright and had trees and stuff in it... the floor was actually grass. And... I met an elephant oO; and the elephant told me if I wanted to get to the other side, I'd have to fight him. And so I did. Heh, I jumped on top of him like you do in the mario brothers NES games >>;; Three times.
Poor elephant, he was all smushed. Apparently he was also supposed to tell me how to get through the next 'level' because he only had enough strength to tell me that it would be a good idea if I took the yellow waterhose inside the next room >>;;
Well, I did. I got halfway through this long chamber with windows all around the topside -- but no door on the end of the chamber - when the other door slammed shut.
-__-;; ...and the room started filling up with water. Me, being silly, somehow managed to turn the yellow waterhose into an orange extension cord, seeing the outlets along the wall. Tried a few of them and nothing happened, so I had to turn the extention cord back into the yellow waterhose oO;;;;;
I noticed that the windows were just, you know, regular windows. They had glass and they had screens behind them. One of them just had two screens, no window oo; It also had a sturdy looking nail beside it, so I looped the waterhose around it, clamboured up close to the window and pushed my way out through the screen -- where I dropped near an apple tree.
I ran back to the begining of the fortress -- or what I THOUGHT was the begining, because all I saw was what my eyes allowed me to see. I kept running because I thought that was what I was supposed to do and -- if I continued to run - I would eventually get to where I needed to be.
The apple tree? I came across it again some minutes later with the lady sitting on a bench beneath it. Her eyes were otherworldly, I could see it... I still don't remember seeing a nose on her face... I told her the apples were lovely and I looked up and saw that they were gnarled and worm-ridden...
...and I started running again.
Apparently, even though I have all of the right answers, I never take my own advice. I do what is quickest and seemingly easiest and then end up running - because I cannot fight my fears and my defeat alone.
Strange, how most people dream and don't remember. Strange, how some people dream so vividly but can't see what their minds are telling them. Perhaps it is also strange to dream in colour.
I was once told that, when one dreams in such vivid colours, that one is actually astrally projecting one's self somewhere. Perhaps that is why my knee hurts so much right now....
I hate running, if only for that reason... but what other choice do I have?
