"Well don't you know how it [Christmas] all began? It started nearly 2000 years ago...."

Christian propaganda in cartoon form used to infiltrate the populace known as children :O Christmas is older than Christianity. Stupid cartoon.

Dunno 'bout anyone else but... I find Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! to be a very irritating thing to listen to. Watching is okay but... just listening to it? No. Absolutely not.

An hour and the lobster isn't here yet. Nor has he called. Antsy.

As I've accomplished one of the tasks I had meant to complete in 2006 (cleaning my inbox and sorting the things I want to keep), I guess I can make myself a list.

In 2006, I want to:

  • Gain a better understanding of the human body and it's development within the realm of 2-D media.
  • Illustrate at least ten of the children's fairy tales in my Children's Fairy Tales from Around the World book (huge thing, over 500 pages), giving three to each. (That's thirty illustrations in the course of a year -- it's a fairly reachable goal.)
  • Attend the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival (though I doubt that this one will happen, I'm still hoping -- have wanted to go since I entered a writing competition with a ewe as a prize and was picked top three: 1997).
  • Continue to participate in [livejournal.com profile] stitchmysquare -- each month, 2 squares. That's 24 in a year, another reasonable goal.
  • Actually finish up the webbie. I have a feeling that I'll be using a gallery device instead of trying to keep up with each individual piece every single time I try to make over the damn thing. It's too much trouble and takes entirely too much time -- I get bored with it, the layout soon wears off it's welcome and it all sits half-done for months until I decide to re-do it again. I will finish it in 2006.
  • Have at least five pieces ready for the State Fair of Virginia and actually submit them.
  • Enter at least one skein competition (probably State Fair).
  • Write more for my sheep book (the one for raising sheep).
  • Be a little more financially independent.
  • Keep up with my little [livejournal.com profile] embodiment plan.
  • Also keep up with [livejournal.com profile] oc_art100 and [livejournal.com profile] fanart100.
  • Compete in more art things.
  • Read 100 books. I'd like to keep this one, I don't read for pleasure any more. And that depresses me.
  • Make plans for caravan-type tinker's wagon. Yes.
  • Make plans, also, for alternative housing -- draw up proposal for possible independent study project.

I'll add more when I have more. But, yeah, there's a lot I want to do in the coming year. And I've got a full twelve months to accomplish everything.

    We'll see.
