stellie: (cross my hearts...)
Yay for [livejournal.com profile] nonna and her sheepy mood icons! :D

<3

Hehe, da's being silly X) Apparently he remembered mum, my little brother and I tricking him into tasting a horseradish jelly bean when we got our first Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans.

I asked him if he wanted some of my jelly bellies (mum hates all things jelly-bean, heh, so its me, Anthony and da that eat them) and he told me:

'Yeah, as long as none of them are snot or vomit...'

I can breathe, I can think, I got horse-time in this afternoon and I got a chance to drive~

Yes, that's right. I took the long way to the farm for the first time since May. I never take that road unless I have something on my mind... at least today I was smarter. I didn't take the 80-degree sharp turns at 50-mph like I did back then. I just cruised around for about 20 minutes down winding roads that took me across plains of land that I hadn't seen in about 10 months.

There are new homes. Not many, but they are there. The field of cows is gone, the fencing they were in was taken down. The plot of rich green grass at the end of one of the roads just behind the church there? Gone. Everywhere else, though, is verdant.

The ranch where I stopped almost a year ago to ask if I could sketch the lady's horses? I didn't see the white horse anywhere in the pasture... instead, there was a little girl in english dress riding a dark quarter-horse across the grass...

I was able to drive across the one-lane bridge. Always a good thing...

At any rate, I went to spend some time with my Cinni-lub. She saw I had the bridle when I walked into the fence, so she pranced away from me whenever I got close to her with it, heh ^^;

...yeah, used to be a trail horse? Trail horse my foot.

Anyway, I put the bridle down, took my little make-shift leads off, hooked it to her halter. Lead her towards the back fence so I could get her a bucket of feed. She was all 'Oh! Oh! Corn!!' *whinnynicker* X) So I lead her away from the fence and let her have the pound or so I had in the bucket. Then I tried the bridle again.

...she kept tipping her head up. Did so about five times before I just shoved my thumb in her mouth where there aren't any teeth and just put the bit where it was supposed to be. Made sure it was on the right way and that it wasn't tight or anything...

She. Wouldn't. Move.

So I had to coax her into walking with me. By the end of my ground work tonight, I now have her walking left, right and forwards with small bit-tugs and clear vocal commands. Yay :D

...

I heard a horrible noise yesterday. Squeaking. I shrugged it off as mice fighting in the attic (as they tend to do from time to time) and... that was my mistake. It stopped, then began again.

...then barking. Smokey (our german shepherd) was barking at and chasing after one of the neighbor's jack russel terriors... They should be called terrorists, not terriors... It had Sassy (our ferret) pinned to the ground trying to rip her to shreds.

...I had gotten up to look out of the window... there is a pallet outside... Sassy ran to hide inside of it, but when I went outside to see if she was all right, there was no Sassy.

She was no where to be found.

...I haven't seen her all day today. I fear she no longer lives at this address...
