stellie: (Nikki! -- Ow-thinking hurts)

More image spam. Because I can't be arsed to put it in the arts journal, nor can I be bothered to fight with m-c.com right now...

So my weekend is stacking up nicely, I think. Two projects to work on, two commissions to start and some note taking; on top of this, I'm going job hunting again.

No work, apparently, at the art store, no work at the book store, no work at the fast food place unless I can cover morning shifts (and they don't open until 10am, so that's a no-go, as my latest classes begin at 1pm)

So! Ukrops, Subway, Walgreens... 7-11s, the BP, there's a Papa John's somewhere and there's a Pizza Hut just down the street, although both of those are probably only hiring drivers at the moment... I'll try them, anyway. The Fairfield, the Radisson, the Marriot... I'll see if I can abduct someone to walk around with me just to see what all is nearby :P

But this is really really important. Job = good. Therefore I need one :P Pronto.

I am having fun with my little 'projects'... I'm not liking 3-D/Line as a class, though -- I take one look at the ruler and it hits me, we quarrel and the ruler wins, gloating. While I'm over in my corner, licking my wounds and tending to an awful headache. Rulers are evil. They want to dictate what you're supposed to be doing, how you're supposed to be doing it... and that's just not cool :P

...the professor doesn't seem to understand the trouble that rulers give me. She thinks I'm just not used to not getting my way all the time or maybe she thinks I'm insane. Aren't we all? But enough of that... she thinks I'm playing around. The way she almost rolls her eyes and gives an incredulous grin every time I say that my ruler is evil and it hates me... or whenever I say that my ruler and I had a fight.

Oh well.

Stuff to do this weekend! :P

Dear Ashley,
Thank you for getting in touch with me so quickly. I'm currently in attendance at Worldcon / Boston so my reply times are a bit longer than normal. I should have a slate of projects ready for you later today and typically send the funds via Paypal once we agree on the project.

Looking forward to working with you as I have some centaur ideas that you'll likely enjoy playing with.

Jack

Well, financial problems may delay payment a bit, but we discussed, from my main home address (*coughcoughcoughnoemailsgivenoutkthnxbye*), a Centaur/peagasus mix.

These are from two seperate commissioners through furbid. I'm curious as to why they both chose centaurs oO; but, at any rate, this is going to be fun! I can not only practice the human torso, but redefine and reform my equines a bit! Yay :D

Jack's response seems to imply either several ideas or several pieces. Or both, as the case could be several ideas for several pieces, which... yeah, that would include both :P

And, you know, I'm still half-giddy from seeing someone make such slight gestures when they talk...

Good night.

So! I'm back.

Saw Morgan Whitby as she was going out of Hibbs and Alexis and I were going into Hibbs for english class. Alexis pipped 'Doesn't she look stunning?' while pointing to me and Morgan agreed, then asked me if I had made this dress that I have on (no) and then proceeded to talk about the dresses I made for prom and what-not. Not something I wanted to sit around and listen to, heh ^^; And some guy looked at me weird oO; Like, took a double take and just stared. Not cool >>; Dresses are evil.

English class! I got a paper back from my english professor. Woo! I got a check plus :P Which, of course, is the best of a three-check system. I wrote about darkness and the intangible fear from my dreams and how running seems to be a main part of those dreams from an early point in my life to this very day. Not too much of a long paper, but vivid enough to ensnare the senses in a way, I suppose...

And after class, Alexis and I stayed behind, talked to the professor about Alexis' paper and a guy named Steven stayed after, as well. He seems out-going. Talked with us in the hallway for almost an hour oO;; About cars, movies, Monty Python, british, accents, cars, Doctor Who and a lot of other things. And, yay, I revealed my true age :O *gaspshockhorror* I think everyone naturally assumes that I am 18 or 19 just because I'm a freshman in college... Even when I explain that I took two years off, they still think within the average age perameters. Oh well. Alexis was shocked to find out I was 20, heh ^^; Steven is just 21, he seems nice. Out-going, really, is the only thing I can really say. He's working on a mini!novel and was looking for someone to read over it and give some over-all impressions and things. Sounds like fun, I suppose.

...he and Alexis are planning on dragging me off to a club at some point. Someone help me.

Dinner? Subway.

And you know, this is the first time I've ever eaten at Subway.....

...Blimpies wins, hands down. No contest, I swear.
