I'm sad... I have no more spun-wool. Only dirty probably-only-good-for-felting stuff that needs washing. Poo. I've knitted all of my other stuff up :\
Interested in this! But, uh... same relevant question -- what about non-wheel spinners? I don't even use a drop-spindle, so where do I fit in? T-T
And, omg, what I've knitted is soooo good. I'm having a blast with it, really I am. I had a sheet of paper marked with dates of project-ends, but I can't find it. Suppose that means I can leave off all projects until I find the paper? ;D
RE-edited M-C.com. For sheep/goat thing at the bottom, planning to get a bit of advert 'round the state and surrounding states. Possibly go in with a few spinners, felters and the like at the same price if they're interested (but I'll post to the communities once I've started advertising towards farmers and start getting feedback...).
Current wool prices:
$0.05 black wool and tags/trash wool
$0.30 grade white wool
$0.40 premium white wool
Offering farmers (tentatively):
$0.30 tags/trash wool + incentive
$0.45 grade white wool + incentive
$0.70 premium white wool + incentive
I need to figure the incentive, though, because book states you can get it from selling through private treaty -- if so, I won't offer it, depending on how high it is....
Ugh. And figuring my market. Doing this for late spring so I can feel around at school and see who'd like what.
Oh. And we've tamed the
beast Stud :D
