Jul. 6th, 2005 11:35 pmI absolutely HATE spinning Suffolk wool. It's short, it's medium-quality and it's no where near par to my lovely Dorset wool that I started with.
I don't care if that suffolk wool came from some of my best show ewes' lambs. The wool is poor quality; it sucks and I don't want to work with it anymore. Yes, I was complaining that my dorset wool spun too fine a yarn. Yes, the suffolk (as I thought) spins a thicker yarn. But it's no good when the yarn is so thick that it doesn't take fiber after fiber without PULLING and BREAKING and leaving horrible little nobby bumps >_<
Hrmph.
