Sep. 16th, 2005 12:19 pmDude. Up and working from 10:30pm until 9am. And still up. Not cool.
Got back to the apartment at 7 and baked CINNAMON SWIRL BREAD :D :D :D Don't ask me how to make it, I didn't use a recipie, I just threw things together, mixed it up to the right consistancy, threw cinnamon and sugar on top, rolled it up, folded it over and plopped it into a greased pan to bake. Mmmmm biscuit with hint of cinnamon. DELICIOUS and I'll never be able to duplicate it again.
So very very miffed, though D: Used it in my sculpture piece, ya know? AND THEY COULDN'T TELL I MADE THE BREADomg. So very miffed. Almost insulted. "It'd be better if she hadn't used purchased goods" was what someone said ...wtf? :P (And, haha, I silenced a myth about rams being the only sheep with horns, go me!)
I'm afraid to take a power nap, though I'd like to... I don't think I'll wake up for the second portion of class....
But, here! Some things to amuse you while you wait for me to get pictures of my sheep:
Ashley's piece (classroom/studio-mate's responses)
dirty
snuggles in a commercial
not disturbed, but it's unsettling
feels staged, theatrical
stuffed animal, zombie sheep, really strange, creepy
french toast, breakfast, strong cinnamon smell
looks like wool, is dryer lint
painted paper pulp face
not puking, looks hungry -- going after food
not food in the mouth, yet seems to be spewing or projecting something
cartoony, looks like its been caught doing something
looks insane, mad
in action, comes across as a narrative
distorted appearance of leg, looks missing
leg looks tucked, nub chunk of leg
feel sympathy for the deformed look oerall
it's oddities raise interest
element of humour through how it's constructed and mishaps
looks like it was planned so there's a reason for deformities
food on floor looks rushed
cheerios are panic button of this piece
stranger food might have been better
pedestal seperates sheep from floor, seperates sheep from food
pedestal shows off sheep
food wouldn't seem as rushed if there was more of a connection between the two
if the food was man-made it wouldn't look so manufactured
I'm really glad my fuck-ups looked deliberate :D ...I still can't believe I completed about 50% of my project just last night. Durr, braindeadnow. (I even misspelled things above, now corrected... I'm that bad, I had a handful of spelling errors.)
Illustrations to take care of starting either late tonight or early tomorrow. Forgot to note that the due date has been pushed back to Thursday for those three, but I'm not procrastinating on them!! Tie between horse and tiger, hrm.
