Sep. 12th, 2004 05:28 pmPolice in Radnor, Pa., interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.
A mother calls 911 very worried asking the dispatcher if she needs to take her kid to the emergency room, the kid was eating ants, the dispatcher tells her to give the kid some Benadryl and should be fine, the mother says, I just gave him some ant killer.....Dispatcher: Rush him in to Emergency!
Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets. I asked for a half dozen nuggets. "We don't have half dozen nuggets," said the teenager at the counter. "You don't?" I replied. "We only have six, nine, or twelve," was the reply. "So I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?" "That's right." So shook my head and ordered six McNuggets.
Just goes to show you that lots of people are either incredibly stupid... or this is just a sick, twisted joke to make you think they are :)
I've personally been through the third one, only the other way around: I've asked the customer if they wanted a dozen wings, or half. They don't know how many are in either -_-; Asked if there were 10 in a dozen. Sometimes asked if 18 made a dozen. Insanity.

Looks like there's rain in your forecast very soon, Tim :P
At any rate, cleaned everything last night. Insanity. I don't know why I did it, but everything has been moved, put away, straightened, reorganized, et cetera. Bed made. Books put on a shelf. Insanity.
And I forgot what time it was yesterday, so I kind of missed my chance to get dinner last night. Oh well. Slept in until 2 today, still haven't gotten anything accomplished in the school-work department. Except a good start to a project due on wednesday. And two pages of reading. Out of about 30. Don't even think about 3-D/Line homework or notes taking for art history. Hasn't been done.
Oh well. 8:30am class tomorrow. Means that I'll have to go to sleep pretty early tonight if I want breakfast in the morning...
Meh.
Mum sent an email yesterday saying that, if I wanted to get out of the city for a weekend, she'd drop everything to come get me. Again, insanity. The first thing I'd jump on right now, but the very last thing that I need to do.
I guess that's what my problem is... I'm surrounded by people. Everywhere. Yesterday when I went to eat lunch, I had an uber-slice of pizza, took it out and had planned on eating at the grass-steps on the other side of the English building...
Nope, too many people. People EVERYWHERE, so I ended up eating my lunch on a strip of grass behind some bushes between the library and the road D: Nice quite place, but very closed in. Not somewhere I'd choose again unless I absolutely had to.
There's no where safe from the hoards, I swear :P
