I revert back to this post.
And you know what? I, for one, am pretty certain that if you sat Bush down in front of the television with Love Hina on, he'd sit there going "Ahahaha. Sue likes bananas."
And I'm pretty sure that if you sat him down in front of Excel Saga he would laugh at Excel's hijinks and the fact that Hyatt slinks around everywhere because she's too weak to move like a normal person. I bet he wouldn't even understand the implications between her and the banana in the opening credits. =P
Just because it's part of the popular culture doesn't mean it's corrupting anyone. Nor does it mean it is the devil's work. Because, you know what? If 'popular' = 'devil', then what the hell do you consider christianity? Hmm? Answer me!
(No, I'm not trodding on the religious aspects, et cetera -- at least, I don't mean to. I'm pointing out how many people go to church because they did it when they were little and they continue to do so now because they feel it's what they're supposed to do. Or those that take things a little too far with conversions and such, forcing their beliefs upon someone else. I don't do it to anyone, I let everyone make their own choices, triumphs and failures. It is the only way anyone learns.)
Just....
Our society, as a whole, is - seemingly - falling apart.
