Eeee, feeshies!

I had to get the wet-vac out today because one of the regulating tubes for the tropical salt-water aquarium decided to hop out over night and spill about 30 gallons of water onto the floor.

Let's just say that today was spent learning how to care for the salt-water feeshies properly :D

Tomorrow is another day's worth of feeshie stuff xx; I have to clean out 14 mini!tanks with betas in them. Damn. I just cleaned those out last week and they're GROSS. The girl that's been feeding them more recently, apparently, has been feeding too much and they don't eat all of it in one sitting...

Grooooss.

I so envy you your marine-tank experiences. The store I'm at only does freshwater tropical. :/ Marine is heard work, I hear. But SO PRETTY! I just finished replacing filter baskets on all 141 tanks today, which was a giant wet pain in the ass, but now they look much spiffier without algae glomming onto the intake valves...

I get to muck about with tropicals and they're soooo pretties ^-^ There's even a gobi in the tank, it's fun to watch. Anemones, too. And odd clams oO; Weird looking shrimp and a sea urchin! Plus bright yellow and blue feeshies XD

And I get to take care of the aquatics center in the basement -- they've got large carp and channel catfish in there :D

I had to clean an old briny tank today... the maintenance guy has had it out with nothing in it since August, saying he was going to get a sting ray for it.... But he wouldn't be the one tending it, I would (now that I work there). So Emily told me to break it down and put it away :D
